CPG/Supports are carriers for automated DNA synthesis. Mostly derivatized Controlled Pore Glass (CPG) is used. The 500 Å supports are suitable for almost all applications. In order to avoid steric obstacles between the growing oligonucleotide chains and thus obtain the highest possible yield of full-length chains, a long-chain alkylamine "spacer arm" is used.

Support material for DNA-Synthesis
Derivated Controlled Pore Glass (CPG) is used as support material for DNA-synthesis. The 500 Å supports are ideal for virtually all applications. In order to avoid steric hindrance between the growing oligo-nucleotide chains and to gain a maximum yield of full-length chains, a long-chained alkylamine “spacer arm” is used.
500 Å supports are loaded with 30-40 μmol/g
Purity (HPLC) | ≥98,0 % |
CPG loading | 30-40 µmol/g |
Coupling efficiency | ≥99 % |
