This antibody portfolio includes a wide range of tissue- & tumor-specific primary antibodies for basic research, product development and analysis of a variety of biological questions. The monoclonal antibodies are perfectly applicable for all cell or tissue biology studies and for the analysis of predictive markers in research.
Mouse monoclonal antibody localizes Dsc1 present in suprabasal layers of interfollicular epidermis, in specific cell layers (e.g. in hair follicle root sheath) and in hassall bodies (spheroidal formations of densely packed reticulum-derived cells in the thymus).
Reacts with 111 kDa (form 'a') and 103 kDa (form 'b') polypeptides (desmocollin 1 splice forms, both at pI 5.2) from human epidermal desmosomes.
Reactivity on cultured cell lines: positive on primary keratinocytes, however, restricted to local piles of differentiated cells. All simple epithelia are negative.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) - frozen. 1:50-1:100 (0.5-1 μg/ml, preincubation (directly after fixation) with 0.05-0.2% Triton X-100, for 5-10 min, depending on tissue type, is recommended; without detergent pretreatment a cytoplasmic component might cross-react)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) - paraffin. 1:50-1:100 (0.5-1 μg/ml, microwave treatment recommended; a slight crossreactivity with a lymphocyte subpopulation is abolished by mild trypsinization after the microwave step)
Western Blot (WB): Assay dependent
