[tab name='Description']
Microscopes for materials science applications have specific objectives and equipment such as incident illumination, polarization and compensation filters. This allows materials such as metal, plastic, minerals, asbestos, glass, wood and chemical materials to be examined. Euromex has a wide range of metallurgical microscopes, rotating stage microscopes and stain-free objectives for observation with polarized light, microscopes for asbestos identification and inverted microscopes for material sciences
By adding the right parts, standard iScope models can be converted into state-of-the-art microscopes for 'materials science'. There are three types of microscopes for materials science; metallurgical and polarization microscopes and microscopes specifically for identifying asbestos

OCULARS
The metallurgical models are equipped with EWF 10x/20 mm (Ø 23.2 mm tube) eyepieces. Polarization models have EWF 10x/22 mm (Ø 30 mm tube) eyepieces, 1 eyepiece with crosshair and 1 eyepiece with crosshair and micrometer. Specific models for identifying asbestos have an HWF 12.5x/15 mm (Ø 30 mm tube) eyepiece and an HWF 12.5x/15 mm eyepiece with Walton-Beckett scale
KOP
Binocular and trinocular Siedentopf heads with 30° angled tubes. Adjustable eye relief between 48 and 76 mm. Two ±5 diopter settings. A unique rotating system allows both eyepieces to be height-adjustable; high position (431 mm) and low position (397 mm). The trinocular head has a 23.2 mm tube that is suitable for C-ring adapters with built-in 0.33x or 0.5x objective
REVOLVER
Ball-bearing revolver for four objectives

1) Plan PLPOLi stress-free infinity corrected objectives for polarization applications. Objective 5x without cover glass correction and 10/20/S40/S60/S100x oil with 0.17 mm cover glass correction. For polarization models with transmitted illumination only
2) Plan PLPOLRi stress-free infinity corrected objectives for polarization applications. Objectives without cover glass correction. For polarization models with incident lighting
3) Optional lenses
All lenses are treated against fungus and have an anti -reflection coating for maximum light output
TABLES
Ø160 mm table, 360° rotatable
Optional available is 30 x 40 mm XY cross table (IS.9522)< /p>
CONDENSER
Height-adjustable NA 1.25 Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm and 360° rotatable polarizer
FOCUS CONTROL
Coaxial coarse and fine adjustment knobs, 200 divisions, 1 μm per division, 200 μm per rotation, total reach of approximately 24 mm. Supplied with adjustable specimen protection to prevent damage to the objectives and the specimen and anti-skid control on the coarse adjustment. The innovative design of the NeoLED results in a larger aperture. This ensures that the optical system of the iScope microscope can display images of higher resolutions. These are very close to the theoretical diffraction limits of the optics. Other advantages of NeoLED are its low energy consumption, lack of heat development and a long lifespan
DRAWING LIGHTING
Polarization models have a 50 W 12 V halogen epi lighting and external 100-240 V power supply. Supplied with a 360° rotating polarization filter, 360° rotating analyzer, Bertrand lens, 1 λ first red plate, 1/4 λ delay filter, a quartz wedge, sled with green filter, blue filter, white filter/polarization filter
ICARE SENSOR
The unique iCare Sensor system has been developed to prevent energy loss. The microscope's lighting turns off automatically when the microscope is not used for a certain period of time
CSS – CABLE STORAGE SYSTEM
A system on the back of the iScope microscope ensures that the user can easily find the cable can roll up and store neatly
HANDLE
The integrated handle on the back of the microscope allows the user to move the microscope in a safe manner
CONFIGURATIONS
The iScope microscope is available in different configurations and different contrast methods.
PACKAGING
Complete with plug, dust cover, spare fuse and manual. Everything packed in polystyrene packaging
