For removal of ethidium bromide and other gel dyes from electrophoresis fluids.
The bondEX system works according to the HIC method (Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography). Ethidium bromide or SYBR®Green residues are removed from buffer solutions by using a detoxification cartridge (bondEX 50) filled with a special resin and an indicator cartridge connected to it.
The pre-filtered dye solution is run over the bondEX 50 cartridge. This does not require any other auxiliary means such as syringes or pumps. The resin in the cartridge can hold up to 50 mg ethidium bromide or SYBR®Green. An indicator cartridge shows by red colouring or UV fluorescence when the saturation of the bondEX 50 cartridge is reached.
The bondEX system consists of
1LC9.1 bondEX Starter Kit
1LCA.1 bondEX 50 Set (refill set)
1LCC.1 bondEX Folded Filters XL (refill set).
